What Skills will I Learn ?
You will learn the basic
skills required to write an insurance product using ProductWriter. You will
learn about the Polaris ‘Skeleton Scheme’ which is used as the basis for your
product, and you will use the ProductWriter tools to create the product’s
groups, tables and rules. You will test the product, store it in a Repository
and also produce the files required for integration.
By the end of the course, you will:

Be able to explain how the Polaris software is used by
insurers and integrators

Understand
the concept of the Polaris ‘Data Dictionary’

Know what ‘planning’ needs to be done before writing your
product

Have used all the ‘ProductWriter tools’ required for
product writing and testing

Have written a basic product using the skeleton scheme and
rating guide examples

Have generated the product run-time files required for
‘Integration’
Note - The Data Dictionary (i.e. Motor, Household, Commercial Lines) used on the course will depend on the Attendees' requirements.
